How To Model For Playboy

The first blog post I wrote was about me modeling for Playboy and my experience doing so. I have noticed a lot of interest regarding the topic so I wanted to write about how to go about modeling for the infamous magazine if you are confused about how to do so.

Prior to going out and building a portfolio the first thing that you need to focus on, if you haven’t done so yet, is diet. As much as we want to believe that all sizes should be able to do everything, that is simply not the truth. Now, there are always exceptions so please don’t lash out on me, however, there is a common theme among the models of Playboy’s body types. I am not a registered dietician so I can’t tell you what diet to follow but analyzing your diet will not only help your chances, it will help you feel better.

Now that we have analyzed our diet, we will start on a workout routine. Consult with a registered personal trainer or scour the internet for videos and workouts that will not only help you achieve your goals but allow you to have fun doing so. I have also written a blog post regarding how I target specific areas which can be found here. The best piece of advice I can give regarding starting a new workout program does not work out so hard at the beginning you are unable to maintain consistency with your workouts. Immediate gratification is great, but it won’t help with this.

Once you are comfortable, find a photographer, and start building a portfolio. There are many companies and groups that organize events with the sole purpose of building your portfolio. These are wonderful if you need a lot of content but are unable to consistently make it. I must warn you to look at the photographers’ portfolio as well and make sure the content they produce is in line with how you are going to market yourself. There is a lot of GWC (guys with cameras) in this industry and they have been known to take advantage of naive models.

Now you have a portfolio and you are ready to pursue your Playboy Magzine! There are model searches that are held throughout the country and those may be fruitful. I have personally never met anyone who has started their career this way, but I am sure it happens. The best way to go about securing your place in Playboy history is to build an online persona. That means update

often, create a fanbase, and showcase your portfolio online. There are many photographers on Instagram that specialize in Playboy, Maxim, FHM, Penthouse, and Hustler. This would be the fastest and most productive way to go about your modeling dreams.

I hope this article helped those of you who are looking to break into Playboy modeling. If you have any further questions or need some advice feel free to email me at ellievanhorne@gmail.com or check out my site Ellievanhorne.com
